Product overview
OPC UA alarm management and notification
AlarmNX connects to your OPC UA sources, evaluates alarms in real time, and escalates them across the channels your team already watches, all on hardware you control.
What AlarmNX is
AlarmNX is an on-premise alarm management and notification platform for industrial plants and the integrators who deploy them. It acquires live data from your PLC and SCADA systems over OPC UA, evaluates that data against alarm rules you define, and delivers escalating notifications until someone acknowledges. Because it runs on your own hardware, core alarming stays on your network with no cloud required.
Architecture at a glance
AlarmNX carries an alarm through four stages, from a raw signal to the person who can act on it.
- Acquisition
- a data driver subscribes to your OPC UA sources and streams live tag values into the platform.
- Evaluation
- a real-time alarm engine checks those values against your rules, severities, and shift schedules.
- Delivery
- a notification dispatcher routes each alarm across your channels and escalates until it is acknowledged.
- Presentation
- browser access, live dashboards, and the mobile app give every user the current picture and the full history.
A tour of the platform
Four capability areas make up the day-to-day of running AlarmNX. Follow any area for the full detail.
Data acquisition
Connect to any modern OPC UA server, browse the address space, and pick the tags you want to monitor. The subscription-based driver is built for large tag counts, with hot-standby source failover and supervised reconnection so the data link stays up.
Deployment and architecture
Alarm management and escalation
Define alarm rules on any variable, set severity levels, and route each alarm to the right people. Escalation chains move level by level until someone acknowledges, and every action is recorded by name for a clean audit trail.

Notification channels
Deliver alarms over SMS, email, webhook, and native app push. WhatsApp, Telegram, and Microsoft Teams are coming soon. SMS can run across multiple modems or carriers with failover, so when one channel fails, the next one fires.

Dashboards, analytics and reports
Build live dashboards from drag-and-drop widgets, analyze response performance with Pareto charts and MTTA and MTTR metrics, and schedule PDF reports on site letterhead for management.

Built to scale, built to stay up
AlarmNX is designed for real plants, described here in the plain terms our claims policy allows. Exact figures are covered in a sizing conversation.
- Built for large tag counts
- the OPC UA subscription architecture is designed to carry the tag volumes of a full plant, not just a single skid.
- Near-real-time evaluation
- the alarm engine assesses incoming values continuously, so conditions are caught as they happen.
- SMS failover
- configure multiple modems or carriers so a delivery attempt has a backup path when one route fails.
- Hot standby
- a standby data source can take over when the primary becomes unreachable, so acquisition keeps running.
How licensing works
No pricing lives on this site. Here is how licensing, evaluation, and support work, without the numbers.
How is AlarmNX licensed?
AlarmNX uses a perpetual license per site, tiered by capacity. There is no subscription. You buy the license once and it is yours to keep, and the mobile app is included for unlimited users.
How do I get pricing and a quote?
Pricing is quoted through Trigger Next Sdn Bhd or an authorized integrator, scoped to your site and capacity. Request a demo or contact us to start a quote for your project.
Is support included?
Year one support is included with every license. Ongoing support and updates continue after the first year, arranged through Trigger Next Sdn Bhd or your integrator.
Can I evaluate AlarmNX before buying?
Evaluation happens through a guided demo on a live system with simulated plant data, so you see real behavior without touching a PLC. There is no self-serve trial download; sales can arrange trial access after a conversation.
